Microsoft Social Engagement 2017
Over the years, it has become a ritual for us, techies to eagerly wait for an update from Microsoft and unveil what new the technology giant has brought to plate this time. In the years of 2016 alone, Microsoft had rolled out approximately twelve major updates to its Social Engagement Platform, presenting new enhanced features, better functionality and touching other primary areas of concern. It continues to so do in 2017 as well.
Post three rolls already, here we are, all excited to see what’s new about Microsoft Social Engagement 2017 Update 1.4. This blog details upon the features, fixes, and many other changes that you’ll notice in this latest update.
Engagement Analytics with Power Business Intelligence
This marks an extension to the recently introduced Microsoft Power BI content pack, especially for its Social Engagement along with the latest Engagement Analytics report, which adds to the engagement platform and the term performance reports unfurled by the experts back at the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Development office. It is believed that the Engagement Analytics reports will offer users an add-on insight on their engagement on social media platform with metrics on the basis of their tags, location, sentiments, and authors. The data model is also brand new and speaks of auxiliary dimension which makes this new enhanced version more compelling to scout and analyzes the Social Engagement data.
Enhanced usability in Social Selling Assistant
This is something new we noticed this year. Microsoft Social Engagement introduced Social Selling Assistant to typically empower the people to improve their social media selling. The application allows users to get a personalized experience and smart recommendations to share posts on various social media platforms, hence enhance social presence and generate business.
In Microsoft’s latest Social Selling Assistant update, we see the first polishing pass. As you’d notice now, the DONE button has now been strategically placed next to all other action buttons, at the base of the window.
Taking a look at the Social Selling Assistant configurations and Social Engagement Settings page – User Preferences to industry standards, when editing these forms, the CANCEL and SAVE buttons have now been shifted to the bottom of the form. Apart from this, the primary navigation now comprises of a shortcut link to the Post view in the Analytics. This acts as a filter to the private messages allowing users to connect with their customers with just a single click directly.
While these are two major updates Microsoft Social Engagement 2017 Update 1.4 speaks of, the tech giant also addresses a few issues and improvements.
- It has augmented the visibility of the tooltips, text and the links when a user switches to a darker theme.
- It has resolved the problem of restricted permission to send private messages to Facebook to targeted customers through the Microsoft Social Engagement platform itself.
